Split Knot - small 3D wall sculpture

Description

Hand-constructed wall sculpture made from found materials sourced by hand from the coastline of Anglesey in North Wales. Weathered wood fragments and a small shard of black plastic secured to a driftwood base with a single thread of orange rope.

Backstory

People are often curious about my construction process. I only use the materials I find, so no nails, glue or paint. For this piece I put holes in the wood with a bradawl and used a single looped thread of rope to secure the pieces which is knotted at the back. Pleasing simplicity.
