Description

Hand constructed wall sculpture made from found materials sourced by hand from Yorkshire and the coastline of Anglesey in North Wales.

Orange thread used to stitch through the wood to secure the red circle and yellow plastic strand.

Backstory

This wood was wet through when I found it tossed in a wooden palette at the side of the road. It made it very easy to poke holes in with a bradawl. The red circle is a lid from a pack of table salt which had a readymade mount to attach it to the wood with a strand of unravelled rope. The thin yellow plastic arrived washed up by the sea. I put it out of the way on the studio wall and noticed it had left its mark revealing a head-like damp patch when I took it down to photograph it.

Materials

Plastic, rope and wood.

Mounting

Mounted on 12 mm MDF with a recycled 'ring pull' hanger on the back.

30 cm x 30 cm
