Spoon 5 - small 3D wall sculpture

Description

Wooden ice cream spoon hand bound in stripes with orange, blue and black rope.

All materials sourced by hand from the coastline of Anglesey in North Wales.

Backstory

I found two of these spoons tossed in the sand at Porth Trecastell in the south-west of Anglesey. I was on my way to scramble a wall and was watched by a group of four who were somewhat bemused by my less than elegant climb. It’s a short cut to the coastal path leading to an inaccessible secluded bay that catches all sorts washed up bythe sea, also a great location to quietly cook sausages and watch the sun disappear.

Mounted on 6 mm MDF with a recycled 'ring pull' hanger on the back.
