Blue Crossing - 3D abstract wall sculpture

Description

Hand-constructed wall sculpture made from driftwood and found materials sourced by hand from the coastline of Anglesey.Wood bound with orange and blue rope threads.

Backstory

I have accumulated a lot of plastic and keep exploring ways to use it which is difficult as I mainly use unravelled rope to bring pieces together. The rope just slides off the plastic and is too hard to stitch into. The orange piece sat neatly on the top edge but it was contest between me and the wood binding the rope strands around it with all its irregular surfaces. The blue circle is a label from a brake caliper.

Mounting

Mounted on 6 mm MDF with a recycled 'ring pull' hanger on the back.
