Hand constructed wooden sculpture bound with knotted orange, blue and black rope thread sourced by hand from the coastline of Anglesey. The wood is recalimed from North Yorkshire, remnants from when our decking stairs were replaced.
Backstory
I have several of these small houses made with offcuts of decking posts. Each one has a number that relates to a house I have lived in.
No. 84 was my family home in Bromborough on the Wirral peninsula where I grew up with my mum and dad and two brothers, one older, one younger. My dad cut the stair banister to floor level and when we were small, we used to slide down the stairs in our sleepings bags.
Materials
Rope and wood.
