Impermeable Sun - 3D wall sculpture

Description

Hand constructed 3D wall sculpture made from found materials sourced by hand from the coastline of Anglesey. Knotted, yellow fishing line, plant stem, plastic cup shard and rubber tubing bound with orange rope.

Backstory

My Dad had an old black and white, wooden, clinker-built boat. We'd go out and drop a lobster pot with a buoy made from a squash bottle. It had a small Seagull engine to power it. I quietly watched Dad as he pulled the starter rope and saw the petrol move through the rubber tubing to feed the engine.

Mounting

Mounted on 18 mm MDF with a recycled 'ring pull' hanger on the back.
